All of surfcore is free for anyone to use - you don't have to join or pay a subscription or anything like that. We don't offer a paid-up 'premium' service.

You still might want to get an account though, it depends how you want to use the site. If you just want to read forecasts and news, feel free. But that's only one side of what we offer. The other side is the community things.

Cool stuff for members:

• Get the Friday Arvo Surf Update email every week with a quick summary of surf conditions for the weekend and top stories from the last week
• Dig out your favourite surf photos and show them in the galleries. There's always great shots being taken out there, they don't have to be just stuck to the fridge
• Agree, disagree? Share your opinion by commenting on any article. This is your space.
• And, of course, there's always the forums where the weidos and ranters can hang out!
• Write your own page about yourself (if you want to) and get in contact with other surfers
