How big is that Gary - I can't work it out?
Sam here's one with a booger taking off to give some idea of scale. Gorgeous wave, but you really have to pick the right one, if they come straight on they close out on v.shallow lava ledge. It's a watcher for me at this size!
Ha yeah - I thought it was either I nice four foot or a scary ten foot - but there was nothing to pin it against. Even that booger looks like he might even be pushing his luck with that one... Think I'd be shoulder hopping those!
I nearly paddled out there when we went to Lanza; it looked real perfect, about 4ft and barreling its nuts off; nobody else fancied it though so we ended up surfing a reef opposite a little village, (Caleta de Cabelo I think it was called) where the 2 locals (who couldn't really surf) dropped in on us every wave just for the hell of it; then on the way out I got followed through the village by a very nasty looking dog which I thought was going to have me...we went back and checked the left about 2 hours later and the end section looked like death on a stick, so I guess I had 2 lucky escapes that day. Mind you, I got shredded jumping off the rocks at la santa the next day... really not a fan of lava me
