Rubbish on the beach

By Blakey at 8:58pm on 25th Nov, 2006

I hate it when people leave their litter on the beach, or there is stuff washed up on the beach. I travel to a few places but when I am at that beach I treat it as if it were my home break. When I finish a session if I see any rubbish on the beach, I pick it up (size and saftey willing) and put it in the bin. It would be nice if we all did it. Oh and I tell people who I see littering how much of a pain it is too.

Love your beach and love everyone elses too.

Eco pirate

That's alot of love coming from a pirate, I thought pirates were meant to be bad asses! Even pirates are eco these days...

But of course I agree - up your wave karma with a bit of litter picking up.

did you read my post ? (general mon 2nd oct)

Couldn't agree more with ya on this subject, i've said it once before on this site and i'll say it again, "lets ALL do our bit and more". Pick it up (dont drop it in the first place) and put it in a bin or better still take it home and recycle. Its not rocket science.

Increase the peace, spread the word

see ya out back

Got cha!

Sure Gecko I saw your post - the bonus about picking up litter from the beach is that most of the time it's already been cleaned... so it's not really that icky most of the time.

mermaids' tears

Came across this on the bbc today - seems to be yet another worrying phenomenon where plastic breaks down into tiny pellets then gets eaten by sealife - we then eat the sea life - the plastic then poisons us! That's the short version.
