Google Ads

By Gary at 8:47am on 28th Apr, 2007

Guys I'd definately click on the ads more often if they opened in a new window thus not taking me away from here. It's the same with any links posted, they always open in the same window.

Not allowed...

I see what you're saying - but opening a new window from a link is meant to be one of the 7 deadly sins of web design. The idea being that most people use the back button a lot when navigating the web, if a link opens a new window then the back button is reset and makes it easier to get lost with the task bar filling up with open windows.

Apart from that Google doesn't like you opening their ads in a new window and can close the account if I set it up like that.

But it's a lot easier to use 'tabs' either in firefox or the new windows explorer 7. Then you can have multiple websites open in the same browser. On top of that the site looks alot better in firefox.
