surfing brazil.

i will be travelling to salvador in brazil in nov for three weeks.only staying in salvador for a couple of days and travelling down to itacare.was wandering if anyone has any local knowledge of the place.i know they hold a few wqs comps there and have read up on the itacare website but some first hand info would be great.

Some places to hit up

Yeah, Brazil has some good surf but is mostly beach breaks. www.firststoke.com has some good info on the breaks, but the best bet is to head to Florianopolis and get some surf there. Joaquina is the best spot though Campeche has been compared to J-Bay for its epic right barrels. There is a ton of surf to go around though...
