Fuerteventura Surf school recommendations?

By Larryo at 5:45pm on 6th Oct, 2007

Hey there, I'm heading over to Fuerteventura in january, can anyone recommend a surf school there. I've seen 4 or 5 advertising on the net based around Corralejo. Any help would be great, Cheers

Surf schools in Fuerte

I learnt with Island Boarders, who are based on Flag Beach. Very cool people, very relaxed, and I think they offer the cheapest lessons on the island. There's also the Quicksilver school who are slightly more expensive with larger teaching groups, but their equipment is of better quality. The Homegrown surf company is another one I saw around a lot - I think they're the locals, but I'm not sure. All of these can be found in a Google search if you try 'surf schools fuerteventura' or something... It's an awesome place to surf, I had an amazing time!

Thanks Anna. What was it that drew you to the Island boarders? Have you ever heard of the Ineika school run by a German guy? I had a look at their site, they have an interesting philosophy. I've been in touch with the ones you mentioned and a few more, they all seem pretty cool. What I really need is some sort of independent comparison of the different schools
