I came across this the other day and I thought that I'd share as it's a fantastically detailed and informative animation. It's all about decentralized energy production which in normal speak is small scale local energy production.

The idea is that by using a combination of solar, wind, CHP (Combined Heat and Power), Biomass, tidal and of course everyone's favourite sewage recycling, enough clean energy can be produced to support small towns. This does offer options with our predicted energy shortfall instead of a massive new nuclear program.
