Thoughts on Quads

By surfguru at 1:18pm on Sun, 9th Mar

Hi all, it's time for a new board and i'm fancing a quad as i've never had one before. 6-6'2" x 20" x 15" (ish)

Anyone got a quad? whould you recommend getting one?

Quads :)

I have two quads, and i just bought a firewire quadraflex about 2 weeks ago as seen below.

I do have a quad for sale but its only a 5,8. I think i actually prefer quads when its hollow and clean. Why not go to a test centre and try a few boards, the alternative is to have a thruster converted with extra fin boxes although a purpose made quad performs better.

Quads get the thumbs up from me so much drive and nice and loose! If you like twinnys you will love the quad as it feels so much better!

Any further advice, just ask!

I think a 5'8" will be too

I think a 5'8" will be too short for me.. i struggled with a 5'10 twinnie.. but thanks for the advice.. i think i'll give one ago..

Cheers

Bat Tail?

Interesting tail shape - It's called a 'bat tail' right?

Bat Tail?

Would be nice to fill the underside of the ironing board with bodyboard foam and take it for a surf (it has been considered)!

I think it (the board) might be a reverse bat, im really not sure, its all a bit experimental. Either way its a nice ride and acts a bit like a swallow.
