Norfolk/Suffolk surfcast

By ad at 10:43am on 31st Jul, 2006

Nice site; look forward to seeing it develop and mature.

it would be nice if you could fill in the gap from Yorkshire to Essex (Norfolk and Sufolk) with a forecast or two....Cromer-Gorlestone maybe.... Thanx

keep up the good work

Okay

Okay good idea - we do have a policy about not adding new breaks unless they are being forecast for already - but MSW covers Cromer and there's a big gap there so I think that a forecast would be fair.

I can't promise that it will be added for about a month or so as we've got loads going on. If it isn't up in a month post again and nag me :) my memory is terrible...all that raving back in the 90's

Nice one thanks ad

sam@surfcore

Lincolnshire too???

Pretty please?

With a cherry and everything?

jim

Cool picture! We don't know

Cool picture!

We don't know the area at all. What is the best known break in Lincolnshire that would be appropriate to put in the forecasts?

We'll be introducing Cromer soon, and there's already Scarborough - are these are good indicators?

jim@surfcore

Sutton on Sea or Sandilands

Sutton on Sea or Sandilands (if you can find it) are probably the best.

E-mail me if you want more info.

and thanks for listening ;-)

Cromer

First Cromer forecast will be available tomorrow ad - hope you like it.

once again. Nice One

No Lincolnshire breaks though yet :-)

We've even got our on surfclub and been on BBC so pleeeeeeazzzzeeee could we have some forecasting as the rest of the country benefits from this site so why not Lincolnshire?

Dex

Sorry mate

Been well busy - we've been focusing on developing animated swell/wind and period charts for the North Atlantic. Here's a sneaky preview of what they're gonna look like...

Atlantic swell height charts

I promise when we got these finished we'll add a break in Linconshire for ya.

No worries

Thats the best animation since Scooby Doo Too the movie :-)

Pretty please

Pretty please Sam,

Theres a few of us from Lincolnshire are gagging for this.

Dex

It's coming it's coming

Dex I swear that I hadn't forgotten, it makes my chuckle when i see this big tribal wooden head being so polite - The story so far is that we haven't quite finished the charts yet there's a zoomed in version of the UK that we hope to have up either by the end of today or tomorrow. We've been meaning to get Guersey and Jersey up for ages but been distracted by other things, so they should get up with the zoomed in UK charts.... then after xmas I promise we'll sort out a break in Linconshire for you guys.

Help me Obi-Wan :-)

At last!!

Ha ha - well you can't say that it easy to get a new break on this site!! It was fixed but after the server blew up on Thursday night I forgot to reset it. Anyway it should be there now Dex :)

Let me know how it goes - it's a bit of a strange place to forcast for tucked away down there...

Suffolk forecast

A great site you've got going here, but I was wondering if you had any plans to add a forecast for those who want to surf between Cromer and Dumpton Gap, ideally somewhere in Suffolk or Essex? The Cromer forecast is a good one, but with it facing northwards you can never be sure.

Walberswick (very good beach) or Southwold might be good choices. Let me know what you think.

Walbers on Google maps:

Simple!

All you have to do Sam is put 0-2 foot(faces), will be correctfor 350 days of the year hehehehehehe! :)
